V404 Cyg observations

This page is generated from inputs to the observation form. It is created by a cron job that runs once every 10 mins so there might be a delay in a particular entry's appearance. The times are MJDs. If you hover over the entry numbers you will see a number come up representing the time of the submission. This can be used to delete entries; see the little correction form at the bottom of the observation form.

Some plots:

  1. All observations
  2. Page of plots for every day

If you are fed up with searching for observations that overlap with your favourite time range, download this searcher script which will do it quickly for you if you give it a start and stop MJD.

These images were taken using the 12" Meade LX600 telescope on the rooftop observatory of Wheaton College (Norton, MA, USA). The telescope was equipped with an SBIG STT-8300 CCD camera with Johnson-Cousins filters produced by Astrodon Photometrics. The CCD was operated at -20 C while taking calibration frames as well as science frames. Sky flats were obtained during dusk. Standard reduction processes such as bias correction, dark subtraction, and flat-fielding were done using AstroImageJ. We used 3 field stars with AAVSO Unique Identifiers (AUID) 000-BCL-467, 000-BCL-468, and 000-BCL-455 to obtain the magnitude of V404 Cyg.
