ULTRACAM biases
This provides links to four lists generated automatically from the ULTRACAM archive by the Python
script procbias. This goes through all runs and divides them into the
following classes:
- Gold standard biases: these have passed all tests
and are the most reliable. They can be used with reasonable confidence and
should be your first port of call when looking for bias frames.
- Silver standard biases: passed all but the final
object detection test. Spurious detections of objects can be caused by
low-level fixed-pattern noise which may not really matter, but you should use
these frames with some caution, i.e. examine the bias before using it.
- Failed biases: this is a list of runs
where there is some indication that thery were intended as biases (presence
of 'bias' in either the comments or target name) but which failed the
'procbias' tests.
- All non-biases: complete list of runs that did
not make it as biases.
The first two and fourth sets should cover all runs (eventually) but are
dis-joint. The third is a subset of the third list, designed to help trace
errant biases.
